Help Stop MRSA During Fall Sports Season

With fall sports now in full swing, equipment cleanliness and item-sharing both on and off the field may be overlooked between carpools, homework and bedtime. But, skin infections like MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), a potentially life threatening antibiotic resistant Staph infection, are the cause of 56% of all infectious disease outbreaks in competitive sports in the United States.

It’s important for parents and coaches we do their part to help prevent the spread of MRSA. You can help by getting involved in the Equip them Well program through three simple steps – collect, disinfect, donate.
