
If you need to make a fast food stop, Subway is definitely one of your healthier options. They have lots of low cal/low fat options and offer whole grain bread choices. You can also load up your sandwich with veggies! My favorite is the veggie sub with extra cheese - yes I know the cheese isn't on the low cal or low fat list, but I'm a cheese fanatic and I make up for it by heaping it up with lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers, banana peppers and spinach. Then, rather than toasting it I ask them to microwave it so it gets all warm and melty. At most Subways they think it's an odd request, but I really love it!
