I heart keenwah - Review and Reader Giveaway

I just found something new to add to the "snack drawer" - I heart keenwah. Many of you know that Quinoa (pronounced keen-wah, get the cute product name?) is a super food dating back to ancient times. It is unique in that it is the only grain that is a complete source of protein (containing all 9 essential amino acids) - the same kind of protein found in meat and dairy. It's also gluten-free, low-glycemic, high in fiber, packed with vitamins and minerals, and has a high protein content - between 14 to 18 per cent.

Now you can get your Quinoa quotient in a yummy snack. I heart keenwah comes in 4 flavors: Almond, Chocolate Sea Salt, Cranberry Cashew and Ginger Peanut.  They are available as individual flavors, or get a whole variety pack.  Each one is made with puffed quinoa flakes and whole quinoa mixed with other goodies and all-natural sweeteners to create a satisfying crunch.

I  tried the Almond and the Ginger Peanut.  Both were crunchy and delicious, but I thing the Almond is my top pick! I like the crunchy/chewy combo and the overall wholesome taste.

Buy It:  You can purchase I heart keenwah online at Abe's Market or through their own website

Reader Giveaway: One lucky Jinxy Knows Best reader will receive a pack of I heart keenway.  To enter, just complete the entry form below by 11:59pm ET on 2/15/13.  Good luck!
