Get Fit Challenge - Join Us Starting March 1st

Welcome to MarchThe month of March begins in two days (don't forget it's Leap Year so we have a February 29th) and for me that marks the start of the Get Fit Challenge. I'm participating with a group of other bloggers to get in shape - eating well and being active.

It's been a lazy winter for me since the holidays and it's really time to get moving again.  On the food side, I vow to keep increasing the amount of food I cook from scratch and concentrate on whole grains and produce.

Today I started to gear up for the March 1st start date.  I didn't do too much on the activity side (hey, I still have two days to go...) but I did dance to three salsa songs with my nephew - he's quite the dancer, especially for a 3-year-old!  I did more on the nutrition side of preparations.  I stopped at the store to stock up on fruits and veggies.  Then tonight I made a big wheat berry salad to keep in the fridge, set up steel cut oats in the crockpot for breakfast, and set dough to rise to bake no-knead bread tomorrow.
