Watch Food Inc. - Available Streaming on PBS.com - One Week Only!

If you have not already seen the film Food Inc., I highly recommend that you watch it.  I saw it tonight on PBS for the first time.  I had heard so much about it and had wanted to see it...I can't believe it took so long for me to do so.  I was already familiar with much of the information, especially from reading Michael Pollan's The Omnivore's Dilemma. Food Inc. really lets you know the story behind the average food available in your supermarket or local fast food joint. The story of the food itself, the farmers and those employed in the food industry is at once fascinating, disturbing and inspirational (as in an inspiration to do something to make change!)

Food, Inc. will be streaming in its entirety on PBS.com from April 22 to April 29, 2010.  The film will be available on the PBS video player at 12 a.m. PST on April 22. It will be available on this page beginning at 10 a.m. EST on April 22. Please note that the film is only available for streaming within the U.S.

If you miss it while it is streaming or would like to have your own copy, Food Inc. is also available on Amazon.com

  1. I actually just saw it last night thanks to Netflix.

It was kind of exactly like I expected but the stories were unknown to me and admittedly many of the facts they presented about the details of the stranglehold the food industry has on our government.

It is a dirty business, like oil and the war.
